Other than the safe area problem they do look nice. They've fixed the ticker problem that they had last time with the letters disappearing before they went off the end of the ticker.

How can they be slick if they're outside the safe area, kind of ruins their slickness IMHO

They're so slick they've slipped down the screen.

The fly-in to parliament was ridiculous, but the matting in of the screen with Vine on it is very neat, especially since Maitlis is being shown live.

So we've reached a consensus then - The BBC Graphics are oily.

Nick Robinson looks like he's been given the small chair with the broken back.

It's only really visible on the BBC logo, the clock and two-tier ticker is rather swish IMO.

Interesting that the ticker on network is including other news stories along with the election stuff. I wonder if this'll continue as the results come in.

Shame as I'd agree they're probably the best executed special graphics we've seen. The US08 package with the shocking attempt at a gloss effect was particularly poor.

The BBC News DOG and ticker are just say fully visible at the bottom of my screen with cap card overscan switched on. Images above are with overscan off.

Anyone else spotted Nick's iPad? Very swish (moving on from slick)

Although it is quite annoying, I agree that the other elements are good.

Scotland's logo and ticker has just appeared. Very similar to network, but with 'BBC SCOTLAND' in blue and white, no clock and a rubbish font on the ticker.
