Someone told me she was going to ITN. And I say this in all seriousness.

Viv at ITN sounds like a very good idea - she is a fantastic newsreader and ITN is one of the best outlets so the pairing could be a winner.

Don't forget, ITN doesn't necessarily mean ITV News: it could be Channel 4 News.

But, as someone rightly pointed out to me a few months back, no one in the UK knows who she is!! (except Sky News viewers). Regular ITN and BBC News viewers would have no idea who Vivien Creegor is.

Agree entirely with your comments about her credentials and capabilities though. I quite like Viv's solid, sturdy style of presentation.

A real pitty Viv is not included in the new arrangement, however, she has been at Sky News since launch and may have wanted a change and saw the relanch as a time to go, if indeed she has.

Her presenting appearances were irratic before relaunch anyway.

I have little interest in TV news, but have recently been reading a little here out of sheer amusement regarding Sky News's relaunch. I can't believe how bad and gimmicky some of it is.

Anyway, Viv always struck me as an excellent news presenter; one of the few I could tolerate watching for any period of time.
I think she went part-time some time ago at Sky, and has presumably now gone.

As for her 'not being known' ... So what? Who needs celebrity newsreaders.

ISTR she regularly presented during the 1980s as one of the daytime lasses.

Also served on various regions.

She was on Points West for a very long time, prior to Sky.
