Jump to 19 seconds in (as the camera pulls away from the Beehive). Is it me or is that melody the open to the CBS Evening News? We're talking '91 - '05 by Patterson, Waltz. It's quite subtle.

If you take a watch of One News intros from the past 30 years they have had a very similar melody to cbs evening news.

Yeah, it's a reworking of their signature melody. Campbell is great, and a lovely bit of bonus Dan Corbett there at the start.

New intro for SBS 8 News in South Korea:

I'm so happy that they've kept the theme tune, because it is one of my favourites.
And of course, the thing you must not do if the ape is enraged is the Macarena.

Moving to France, the France 24 channels will be getting a rebrand courtesy of Barjabulle

Barjabulle was also commissioned to rebrand the TV channels M6 and W9 in 2016, here is the M6 reel

How refreshing. A news channel doing something new and completely different. Without endlessly, for decades, rehashing the same stuff over and over. So much so, that most people dont even notice and it becomes a complete waste of money. Well done to France24. Looking forward to seeing this.
I'm here to give you something to talk about! You're Welcome.

New intro for SBS 8 News in South Korea:

Yeah, I wrote about that dans la page précédente .

SBS in South Korea has a new look for its flagship evening newscast, the 8 O'Clock News .

By the way, about France 24's new look, does that mean their image will stay even after it is integrated into what is (tentatively?) called "France Média"?

By all accounts, France 24 will have its own look separate from the rest of the France Média properties. How that will reflect on-air, we'll have to see. France Média did announce a continuation of a partnership with the German-based Deutsche Welle

I hadn’t heard of this France Medias- the current parent organisation is “France Medias Monde”, that last “Monde” being important as it’s an external broadcaster. But this is essentially the last step in the decades long process of putting the ORTF back together, effectively?

Not quite, but the French television landscape has seen some notable changes this year- France's national broadcaster France Télévisions's France Ô , which featured programming from its external territories was closed down on August 24 due to low viewership, it was initially due to close August 9th but the date was moved down due to COVID-19. In addition, France 4, also under the France Télévisions umbrella was meant to close in July also to low viewership but was granted an extra year, thus closing down July 2021

France 4 was given a short stay of execution due to its role in providing an educational service to school children during lockdown.

The closure of France Ô allowed Franceinfo to upgrade from SD to HD on TNT (French Freeview & Freesat). Previously the PSB news channel was only in HD on pay-tv platforms.
