ZDF, Germany; late news, 1973:

And here's that day's 7:45 p.m. news from France's ORTF (Channel One); the lead story is the same: the siege at the Saudi Embassy in Paris.

French channel France 5, primarily featuring educational content, documentaries, debates and factual programmes, also used to air a short news flash around 5pm, between 2009 and 2011.

The programme's name was C l'info , a name echoing those of other early evening shows of the same channel (the interview C à dire , the news debate C dans l'air , the laid-back talk show C à vous ), each time with C standing, phonetically, for "c'est".

C l'info 's anchors often were journalists in charge of the morning news flashes in TéléMatin on France 2. Julien Benedetto, Sophie Gastrin, and Estelle Colin for example.

At 6'08" in the following video is a full edition of C l'info , broadcast on July 21, 2011. It is four minutes long, and opens with a short update on a happy end to a suspicious disappearance, before switching to a report about the Dominique Strauss-Kahn sexual assault case.

This is certainly more than just a graphics refresh. Earlier this month, TV2 Lorry ditched its studio-based presentation for news - it's now just reporters out in the field. I'm not sure it works all that well. Confused

I haven't seen/heard anything to suggest that other TV2 regions plan to follow suit.

Still in Denmark, but this time a video from 13 years (and 2 days) ago… My favourite TV-Avisen intro, but!! preceded by more than one minute of awesome morning filler music!

It's been a couple of years since DR last had morning news. I don't know quite when DR1 dropped morning news, but DR2 had a morning news block until the end of 2016. Yesterday, DR2 aired the final edition of its afternoon news production DR2 Dagen . That leaves it with only breaking news coverage and the nightly interview/discussion/current affairs programme, Deadline . In addition, as budget cuts take effect, the main evening news broadcasts on DR1 will also be consolidated - from 2020, TV Avisen will air at 18:30 and 21:00 (currently at 21:30), with the shorter evening bulletins (17:50 and 19:55) dropped.

TV2 still runs bulletins throughout the day, crossing to its news channel for breakfast updates and a lunchtime news bulletin. There are full editions of TV2 Nyhederne at 17:00, 18:00, 19:00 and 22:00 -- the latter moving to 21:30 in January. A new set is being constructed now, with Nyhederne currently using a temporary set.

France 3 uses a similar format for some of its sub-regional / local opt-outs:

Do you have any images or footage of the temporary studio?

I can't do video, but I can offer a few screen caps. It is essentially a mini-recreation of the old set - replicating the screens and newsroom desks that appear behind the newsreader in the standard shot, with some fake printed extensions to the left and right. The big screen to the right appears to be of higher resolution than the one on the original set!
