Are the TF1 old and new and the France dot 2 main news sets designed by the same design company?
There are some incredible similarities, in terms of moving parts, desk shape, and virtually identical CGI'ed backdrops if they aren't..

At least TF1 have the old set operational while the new one has been assembled, none of this France 2 nonsense of going into a cupboard.

It looks very familiar. Expected TF1 to be a bit bolder.

And here's a throwback to 2005 with the first seconds of a newscast by RFO Guyane (predecessor of Guyane La Première).
Note that the white stripe on the top of the screen was added by France Ô when that channel broadcasted it for viewers in mainland France.

ABC, 7pm, Australia (New South Wales), 2001 (intro starts at 0:40 - and that theme?
):
(Fun fact - the anchor, Richard Morecroft, left the ABC in 2002 and went on to present the Australian version of Countdown...)

I used to live in New Zealand, and often watched Greg on the late news, of which he was the main presenter for many years. He was a great news anchor who always came across as an amiable bloke. He was also known for his witty one-liners and quips. His death is indeed a tragic loss - my condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.
Further coverage of the death of TVNZ journalist Greg Boyed on 1 News Midday, at Six, Seven Sharp, and Tonight.

Clearly a great loss to everybody in the TVNZ newsroom.
