Such a well presented bulletin, or at least it was up until recently. Whilst the music and gfx are great they no longer use their set due to a recently passed law which (somewhat bizarrely in my view) requires broadcasters that receive government funding to host their news from Jerusalem.

That fantastic multifunctional studio is in Tel Aviv, so now they use a simple green screen background for the entirety of the program, bookended by pre-recorded wide shots with the host wearing clearly different clothes and hairstyle, as can be seen here:

All very strange.

All seems to be sorted now... this link for the programme suggests that they are back in the same studio. In the wide shots, she's wearing the same clothes!

TG2 ist the first Telegiornale from RAI which is now fully digital following several years of work. Since December 31st it is broadcasted from a new studio and has a new graphics package (the last update was in June 2012 though).

It is better compared to other Italian newscast but the could have done a better job in certain areas.

You can also watch full newscasts on www.tg2.rai.it or www.rai.tv

These 3D-heavy graphics aren't everyone's cup of tea, but RAI Due now certainly looks better and more professional than most of its competitors. Thanks for the update.

It now has one of the best studios in Western Europe in my opinion (as of september 2012):

I agree. It's a wonderfully sleek and innovative set.

@asnycBBC: I preferred the way Noticiero Univision looked before the refresh.

I did too, as I grew up with the now-replaced logo, but they did keep some elements of the very logo unlike Telemundo who completely shelved their former logo

Actually, I don't really mind the new network logo, it's the new Noticiero Univision logo in the opening sequence (bottom) and on the set that I don't like quite as much as the previous one (top) -- although they really both look fine:

No, I think the same arrangement remains. The way they use a graphic to cross to an in-studio reporter rather than taking a wide shot indicates that they're not in the same place.

Considering how small the distance between Tel Aviv and Israel is I think they still operate in Tel Aviv but send the host down to Jerusalem for the broadcast, so the clothes they're wearing wouldn't necessarily change during the day. They just have had a few mishaps that give the game away.

Here's an older blooper where the (former) presenter disappears:

Apparently his dissatisfaction with the two city arrangement was the reason for his resignation.

I guess what they do is get a live shot of the newsroom ( the central background for the set) together, but what I noticed at the end of the bulletin from the website was that they were moving the background as the presenter was saying her final words.

Makes sense! They seem to have done away with the end shot in the past editions I've seen. The music and studio (albeit the real one they have in Tel Aviv) are excellent.

That music is horrid for a news channel, it's feels more like music for the weather.

I must seem like I'm going on and on about this like a true anorak, but they definitely are back in the studio. Here are a couple of captures from tonight's online feed of the programme.

Yes, clearly back in the studio for that broadcast. But there's an obvious difference between the above caps and your previous link, which should make it even more clear they weren't live in studio for earlier editions. I'm not sure about the details of the legislation mandating they broadcast from Jerusalem but I think they have previously done specials from the Tel Aviv studio despite those laws, and the above looks like a special discussion panel on a political scandal that's developing over there (the Harpaz affair).

The bulletin looks so much better when taking advantage of the studio, so I wish it was permanent move but I've not been able to find anything that suggests the new broadcasting laws have been relaxed or revoked.
