I think the music and graphics there are much better than those of Jornal Nacional on Brazil's Rede Globo. But the music sounds like a rip-off of the previous Sky News music.

Interesting. TVI seems to have a special affinity for Sky News. This 2007 TVI intro seems to be a combination of Sky News' old graphics and Australia's Ten News theme of that time:

I mentioned Yugoslavia's TV Novi Sad above. On some Sundays, this TV station produced an semi-national evening newscast for the Serbo-Croatian speaking republics of Yugoslavia (in other words, all of them except for Slovenia and Macedonia). Here's an example from 1989; note the more relaxed "weekend" style, as the newscast begins not with hard news but with "images of the day":
