I was watching an old Blackadder repeat on wednesday and it was the one with the by election, with Vincent Hanna as "his own great, great, great grandfather." Just wanted to say he's still missed, especially at election time.

Judging from the non existent response to this thread, it seems he's been forgotten. I know some of you are old enough to know him, hasn't anyone got a word to say in his remberance?

I worked with him a few times. I have never seen a plate of hospitality sandwiches disappear so fast

I remember him very well - his cameos on 'Newsnight', then on 'A Week in Politics' which was never quite the same before or after he presented it, and then his 'After Hours' programmes mostly on Tuesday nights on Radio 5 Live.

He also filled-in on some other programmes, including Radio Ulster's lunchtime 'TalkBack', a task he was fulfilling when he fell ill in July 1997.

Sadly missed, indeed.

Elections just aren't the same without Hanna and another much- missed political journalist, Sir Robin Day. I miss them both hugely.
