Well apparently according to NEWSCAST STUDIO Nothing new is coming to CBS NEWS.

Maybe there's more to it than CBS is willing to share.

A bit more info:
"[Trump] turned to NBC, saying it was the worst, criticizing its reporters, and saying it could not even come up with a flattering picture to broadcast. His complaint: the network's photographs showed him with multiple chins."

I'd be a little surprised if they went against something they told Newscast Studio. I'm not a big fan of that site, but whenever they get statements from the networks, they're usually pretty accurate. But with that said, Studio 47 hasn't been seen on the air for weeks. Scott Pelley anchored from Phoenix tonight because he was accepting an award at the ASU Cronkite School of Journalism, but even when they crossed to Jericka Duncan for her intro and tag, she presented from Studio 57. It does seem a little strange.

Also, the fact that he was in Phoenix probably explains why he wasn't at the Trump Tower media meeting this weekend, even though John Dickerson and the CBS This Morning trio were.

Maybe they'll keep Evening News on the move or build a set similar to 57 in Studio 47

Might just be adjusting lighting, cleaning, etc., over break.

Or maybe they're mothballing the studio? I guess it's also a possibility. With the Morning News and Weekend News now coming from the CBSN newsroom, Studio 47 is only on the air for 30 minutes five days a week (plus the western edition). That's not necessarily high utilization of what's otherwise a pretty large studio.

True, but, isn't it also the newsroom for CBS Network News?

For a studio not in use, it looks fired up ready to go, and there are some people in the background of Dennis's picture at pc terminals, and a group crowded around a monitor.

The newsroom is now where CBSN comes
from, the fishbowl is used for EN production.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's just the CBS This Morning newsroom, it often looks quite empty during the day... The fishbowl is only part of the newsroom.

This video, from 2012 when Studio 57 and the newsroom was constructed, might clarify things.
