So it *is* misbehaving by the looks...

Hearing people talk about the mis match of new and old lower thirds. But everyone must remember when World moved to NBH in 2013 and the NC hadn't moved yet so we got the old and new lower thirds mis match

Yes, for 3 months on some very limited overnight simulcast programmes...

They’ve altered the titles slightly by putting a cheap looking unboxed bbc news logo below in black, just looks awful Sad why didn’t they just put the regular boxed bbc news logo like normal.

The new look may not use a boxed logo, so they are prepared

Ictoria Derbyshire?

I just can’t understand why people are saying this. There’s a huge V which is clearly before the ictoria. It’s called a capital letter. Why is it so difficult to see?

I like them. When the new News Channel graphics come the gap will go and I’m sure they’ll look even better.

Because it's disjointed from the rest of the text, in a different typeface, and in negative. It doesn't flow naturally, so I don't blame people for reading it like that at first.

After all, people on here weren't spotting the speech bubble at first, and this is the place where gaps in projector cubes produced page after page of discussion. Why is it so hard to understand that people may not spot the V in the first instance?

I’m quite embarrassed to say I still can’t see the speech bubble. Could someone kindly draw it out for me?

Agree with much of the sentiment on here: titles poor, graphics poorer, music meh.

I see the programme website has been updated and uses a different configuration of the logo.

It’s a square speech bubble. A bit like this...

Oh I see. I doubt any Joe Public will spot that - looks like two arrows to me.

But thanks for pointing it out!

Looks awful seems a backward step.

I saw it from the getgo but I realize how many may not see it. First it’s not the typical speech bubble like one would see in say a comic book and second the triangular shape indicating who is supposed to be talking is very small.

One thing I thought was cool was the effect when the opening credits ended where the various images in the speech bubble ended to show the studio in its cut out.

Really? I think it’s much better unboxed.
