UTV Live (News) rebrand

The small section of the studio that was previously used for UTV Live Tonight has been recycled for View from Stormont. Same desk, sofa and chair, just a new backdrop and floor to match the main studio.

They're using the main desk now. I wonder what all that press release nonsense was then, about refurbishment of facilities at Stormont.

Nice theme tune. I would prefer a variation of this for the UTV Live instead of that stale ITV regional news theme.

Why are the titles and on screen graphics written in a plain font. Why aren't they using ITV Reem?

Either the cameras are really poor or even the pictures on the monitors are in crappy SD as the text and image of Stormont are very blurry.

I presume View from Stormont is fully recorded? As previously UTV Live Tonight was live albeit with recorded items e.g studio debates.

They are really awful lower thirds - at points (particularly when set against a white shirt) nearly unreadable.

For those of us outside the player territory (ironically the Republic of Ireland) any chance of some screen grabs of these lower thirds?

Not much good as the View From Stormont graphics aren't on that page.
