And, speaking of UTV Live, have they dispatched wee Neil Brittain back over to England to cover the George Best story? I thought his previous OBs a few weeks ago were quite sweet in a way.
EDIT: Looking at the schedule, nice to see Lynda Bryans getting a daily slot on the programme, a nice surprise to see familiar faces Ronan Kelly and John O'Hara also getting slots on Sunday, and quite a few Downtown staff pinched, and no more Carolyn Stewart on Cool FM!
Yeah its strange hearing bedless Carolyn on U105, introducing (mostly) gawd awful middle of the road music. She had become something of a UTV luvvie of late, making appearances on the UTV live sofa, I guess she just went where the money was.
Not sure about the cross promotion stipulations. Understandably they do seem to be on advertising overdrive at the moment, IIRC Julian spent most of the end credits of OFI Sunday last night promoting the Sunday night radio slot.

Funny you should mention Neil Brittain, he was just on UTV Live doing an OB from Best's hospital!
U105 seems to be quite good. Mind you I don't remember most of tne songs played on it! When I tuned in last week though I thought I was listening to the wrong radio station when I heard Carolyn Stewart!
The launch has certainly put the wind up the other local radio stations, namely BBC Radio Ulster and Downtown Radio. The amount of advertising that has appeared in the last week in and around Belfast is unbelievable!
