The truck will have been used to send back pre-recorded packages to base as well as just for the live.

Only lasted 10 seconds. waste of money - but then more OBs than UTV have in a week.

Until I opened this thread, I never knew that UTV Live was 60-mins long starting at 17:30
(I've never seen it, even when I used to have Sky Digital).
I bet if UTV ever becomes part of ITVplc/"ITV1" (whatever), that the network schedulers would cahnge that.
What do UTV usually show between 17:00-17:30 then? So, has Northern Ireland NEVER got The Paul O'Grady Show?

Nope, last year's!
We do, however, get a lovely little pre-recorded message at the end of every repeat saying, "Well we hope you enjoyed the programme which was recorded in the Whitla Hall last year. And of course soon on UTV you can look forward to School Choir of the Year 2005!"
Wow! Can't wait!

You mean it's not even this year's School Choir competition?

I think when they're showing the actual competition (i.e. not repeats of last year's) they show it primetime on Sundays.
As far as I remember that's the only night, unless it was shown in the regional slot at 7:30pm on Tuesdays.
Anyone else remember? Actually, the better question may be, did anyone even bother to watch it?!

School Choir of the Year used to be on Tuesday at 7.30pm, in the early days it was sponsored by Stewarts, then Tesco, and now Spar.
The only time I ever watched School Choir is when my school appeared in it, c. 1999, performing a version of "Danny Boy", I got my parents to switch over from EastEnders so I could spot who got on camera!
My old school was also in the grammar school final last year, but they were beated by Methody, natch.
