Worryingly they seem to be using some very cheap and nasty "broadband" style links for some of their lives.

Yes, it's very hard to watch. Horrible quality.

Well, it looks like it will be democrats for the representatives and republicans for the senate.

Jon Sopel in the Washington studio to anchor coverage from the US this morning. Some nice extreme wide shots of the studio there in the segment following the 11.00 TOTH (simulcast on News 24 and World)

Interesting blog on the C4 News site about whether it really is worth the environmental cost to send Jon Snow to anchor from the US.

A lot of US election districts are now electronic voting with no paper trail anymore. The companies in charge of the ballets, such as Diebold, are fiercely Republican.

Election or Selection...You Decide 2006? Wink

There's always 2008 for throwing elections..."Diebold Decides 2008."

Startling scenes from the White House now. Bush buckling under pressure, most of it being made by himself rather than any particularly tough questions. Almost like the press feel sorry for him. He's like a naughty schoolboy explaining to his parents why it's not his fault he broke the window.

He's admitted to lying about Rumsfeld's continuing in office, admitted to taking a 'thumping' and I'm sure he referred to himself as a lame duck at one point!
