Worth trying some of the local channels too. WCBS in New York always broadcast their 5 and 6pm news online (10 and 11pm our time). Tonight they're also webcasting their 11pm hour-long results special - although obviously that won't be on until 4am over here!
Sky often put Fox News on active during major US stories - which has always struck me as a bit pointless given that it's available on Sky anyway.
I'd say CBS is less likely - as far as I can tell, the only network coverage they're doing is a 1-hour special with Katie Couric at 10pm ET. Local stations do their own thing the rest of the time.
By the way, is anyone else having trouble with the MSNBC live stream at the moment? It sounds fine, but the picture's just black with a few coloured speckles.
A lot of US election districts are now electronic voting with no paper trail anymore. The companies in charge of the ballets, such as Diebold, are fiercely Republican.
This works. In fact its outstandingly good. The link to the installer is at the foot of the page.
Yes, it's scarily good. I did notice a Network Ten link yesterday although it wasn't working and has since been removed.
I love the way certain regions just crash into network programming with a caption saying something like "We now join network programming which has already begun" - as if people are going to want to watch half a show!
Presentation wise, it's as we've come to expect from the US. Big and bold - the promos on NBC in particular are really slick though. Just one thing that would make TVU better - timeshifting! I'm bored of looking at daytime TV at 11pm!
"Vote no on proposition 93 - it's for the good of your community"
I've just installed it... looks pretty good to me, although I was hoping to see CNN, which doesn't seem to be on there.
MSNBC's election night coverage looks set to be pretty good - Chris Matthews alongside Keith 'saviour of MSNBC' Olbermann, so it should certainly be lively.
Think the BBC Special is scheduled to start at 0300 GMT. No idea if it will be streamed. Worryingly they seem to be using some very cheap and nasty "broadband" style links for some of their lives.
I can understand using low-quality links from a war zone - but from the US - that is just being cheap...
