BBC News 24 have returned to London and according to my UPC Ireland TV Guide Hard Talk will screen with Vincent De Rivaz, which would mean we won't return to Matt until midnight. So what was the point of that joint TOTH?
Exactly what I was thinking - maybe Hardtalk won't be shown - Chris did say he will "bring (us) the news over the next 10 minutes" - maybe suggesting going back to Matt at 23:30 ???
News Special proper at midnight though.

AlJazeera's coverage just started. David Foster is in Washington, Veronica Pedrosa is in Los Angeles, shes usually in Kuala Lumpur. They have other Washington presenters such as Ghida Fakhry and Kimberly Halkett in other states. Darren Jordan is anchoring in Doha, with guests and latest results from the newswall. Looks good viewing!

The first poll to close is Georgia at midnight, 11 states close at 1am. California the biggest state closes at 4am. It'll be interesting to see the results from California since 55 electoral college votes will be up for grabs come November.
I downloaded TVU and I think it's great. I've been watching Nickolodeon mainly. The stream for Nickolodeon, Comedy Central and CBS is GMT -8. The CBS stream is CBS 5 which is from San Francisco.

The Matt Frei segment of BBC coverage seemed to be designed for a US audience. Pollsters will need 'advil' tonight; Clinton is the Walmart candidate, Obama the Wholefood
Fair enough, the international world knows Walmart - but Wholefoods and Advil? The language seems a bit misguided to me, a bit contrived and 'look how American we are'.
Beeb viewing this as an opportunity to develop a larger US audience?
