Noticeable how the Democrat campaign is by far getting the most coverage, mainly because of the prospect of either a first female or first black President. (Has Hilary thought this through when at meetings of world leaders Bill Clinton is left alone with "first Ladies" from around the world?)

I assume the US networks are as biased as ever too in their coverage.

It does seem a very odd process though - a tour where smaller states get a day to themselves for the voting process - and then all the bigger states voting on the same day. Really odd!

Anyone willing to take a bet at this early stage as to who will end up in the Whitehouse? My money's on Obama - he seems a decent bloke.

There seems to be a hell of a lot more emphasis on the Democrats with the current coverage.

[edit - great minds think alike it seems]

Yes, I understand it all, but I disagree it will have a big impact on me. There's much more that could be reported on in our corrupt and war torn world than Barack Obama and the other Democrat tranny.

It will have a massive impact on everyone in the world. You can't deny the interdependence of nations and let's face it, at the moment the USA is the most powerful country in the world with by far the most influence. If you think events in America won't affect you, then you'd be very wrong. Sub-prime mortgage crisis, anyone?

There is special pres appearing for the election, as has been demonstrated already on Newsnight and several other programmes. We can expect more special presentation and programming to be introduced as the election draws closer.

By all means discuss the outcome on Metropol if you like, but this is for the presentation surrounding the election.

Most money is saying the winner of the Democrats will ended up in the White House.

I think the coverage has been fair by all UK networks so far, the more attention on the Democrats is down to more interesting candidates!
Presentationally, will JT, Jon Sopel and the like stay out there until the end of the primaries?

If anyone's interested, MSNBC are currently streaming their live coverage of the New Hampshire Primary. Here's the link.

That stream address could change as the night goes on, so check msnbc.com for a new link if it does.

The quality of that feed is really quite astonishing. Better than the terrestrial analog I get through my TV card. I wish we could have more of these feeds.

Probably at least through to the end of Super Duper Tuesday.

MSNBC's graphics are nice and subtle, especially compared to the mess that is Fixed News

Why? I can't see any other threads on it? It's not a one off event either. There will be caucuses and primaries in the days, weeks and months to come. Roll on November when they can get rid of that cretin in the White House and hopefully replace him with someone with a brain.
