That’s awful, and also his pregnant fiancée will be worrying on top of her own recovery

I hope he makes a full recovery, and after which takes as much time as he needs...health takes priority over work no matter whether your job title is toilet cleaner or Prime Minister

I agree wholeheartedly. I'm not a Tory but am hoping he pulls as well as all those who are fighting this ******* of a disease.

It needs to bloody well make those last few idiots out there understand the gravity of this situation, wake up and behave as instructed. I've still got a neighbour allowing non family and non household visits into her home and she is making me incandescent with fury at her total ignorance while everyone else is fully doing what is required in my road.

I've felt like that for the last 4 weeks when next to nobody was taking it seriously. The last 3 weeks an elderly couple over the road from us have had 2 cars arrive with 6 family members for sunday lunch. 8 people can not stay 2m apart in these houses. we have then seen him going out walking the dog and standing close to a neighbour chatting in the street and then we see on the tv all those selfish people travelling all over the country spreading it about and thousands in parks sunbathing, having picnics and BBQ's - just stay in its not difficult

Well said. Covid-19 is no respecter of people. Its affected everyone from politics and showbiz to the true heroes of this situation the doctors and nurses.

if the worst happens (fingers crossed it wont) then that would surely be the kick up the arse that the minority of f-wits need.

We're all in shock at this turn of events aren't we?

Nope, neither that he caught a contagious disease or that after having been admitted to hospital for "mild symptoms" that needed checking up on, that actually he was in a worse condition than originally stated.

The odds aren't good for people going into intensive care with this, so I will actually wish him good luck, despite my feelings about him.

I've said this already but its worth repeating. Political and ideological views have been put to one side for this and justifiably so.

I understand what you mean. When this started my father actually thought the precautions laughable. He's changed his tune now though!

An ECP and announcer-less EastEnders credits sequence is always a ominous sign. Interesting choices from around the nations - NI and Scotland used Forest, Network and Wales went with Mountain Rescue Volunteers but Wales oddly went for the more upbeat/laughter version.

Awful news. I don’t share his views politically but I wouldn’t wish this virus on anybody. I sincerely hope he does pull through!

Adam Boulton talking a bit of tripe on Sky News right now. Moaning about the lack of news on the PM and actually said - "it has now ended in this rather unfortunate disaster". What kind of thing was that to say?

I think he meant politically-speaking, and how this situation has been handled throughout this afternoon.

Is there no longer a News Report slide for Newsflashes? I recall NI used a makeshift one for the Manchester arena bombing in 2017. They really need to review the appropriateness of their presentation package.

Very odd mix.
