I wouldn’t start worrying until we see the Newsnight curtain out at the wrong time.

Is BM11 back?

It's a gauze curtain at the back of Studio E - the main News Channel / BBC One bulletin studio - which covers the glass and dulls down the newsroom in the background (it appears darker and de-focused). Newsnight have started using this after the first couple of days from E, but it was originally installed for other events (just hasn't been seen on-air before this week).

Is the curtain actually purple or is it just being lit to look like that?

Creative lighting, I still think it will be ineffective during “black tie moments” unless there’s a complete blackout curtain. Maybe it’s better when it’s not lit up.

The PM was moved to the ICU (intensive care unit) at St Thomas’ a short time ago, at around 7pm.
