I see that the Twitter rumour mill is worse that this place at the moment with theories abound about the BBC and Sky overnight newsreaders and presenters on both Breakfast and GMB all wearing black.

Holly and Phil are also wearing black/dark colours on This Morning.

Even Carrie Gracie is wearing black on BBC News.

Can't believe it is 15 years since that thread

Of course if newsreaders start wearing black again feel free to start a new thread.

Is it time?
bilky asko, Brekkie and JamesWorldNews gave kudos

Well given the seriousness of the story I don't think it would be wise to be dressed like you're attending a cocktail party.

Agreed. Flamingo blouses should be banned.

Victoria Derbyshire clearly wasn't given that memo.

So it's obviously just a general choice, no one is forced to be wearing what they are today.

I will put my gold lame cocktail frock back in the cupboard for now then.

I wonder if when (and let's hope it is when) Boris Johnson returns to Downing Street, that his personal experience will cause any change to the policie regarding the virus?

Brief update now from Vicki Young (isn’t she good) at Downing Street, breaking into the Nicola Sturgeon presser.

Lots of awkward pauses and uncertainty back in the studio however. I presume those long gaps were to facilitate the departure of BBC1 and BBC World, in the run-up to the One?

I've noticed a lot of BBC reporters' laptops, have a coloured membrane on top of the normal keyboard. Presumably some sort of shortcut marking?

Probably similar to these, I use the Adobe Premiere ones and they are pretty useful!
