Bill Turnbull & Rob Bonnet mediawhore on Country Channel

I was flicking through the Sky EPG a little earlier and stumbled across Country Channel.tv. On there, both Rob Bonnett and Bill Turnbull were presenting - Bill dribbling himself about how to keep bees and a beehive and Rob salivating over some fishing hack.

It is shown on the Information Channel on Tuesdays 17.30-18.30, Thursdays 13.00-14.00 and Sundays 19.00-20.00. Channel website here.

What is the situation with BBC "news"readers being able to present for other TV channels?

There was a report on the BBC a while ago about this. Including alot of Rob Bonnet stuff regarding village cricket

They can do anything that doesn't conflict with their BBC work.

ie: they can present on the Country Channel, but can't write an opinionated policital column.

theres a programme here on UKTV in NZ called Egg Heads... Dermot from Breakfast hosts it!

In the UK it's broadcast on BBC TWO.

What was strange a couple of days ago was seeing Dermot on the Six on BBC1 whilst he was also presenting Eggheads on BBC2!
