"Burley" trending on Twitter, despite being on holiday and not presenting. Assume she's being blamed for a slip by Anna Jones, who otherwise appeared to be doing excellently this afternoon.

Well it seems that CNN (Using ITN footage) have a different Live helicopter as well!

Are CNN using ITN. Everything I've seen on CNN has been credited to Reuters Confused

Anna has been a real breath of fresh air on Afternoon Live for the last couple of weeks.

Emma Crosby did very well along with Jon Sopel, proving she's very competent as a rolling news presenter.

Lucky someone like Ellie Crisell or Julia Somerville wasn't presenting (as great as she is, she seems a little overwhelmed and confused on the NC - perhaps network bulletins would be better for her, as unlikely as it is)

Some great reporting from Mark White on Sky at the moment, seems to be right at the heart of the violence.

I wonder if the BBC News channel will choose not to take the News at Six tonight... with all this unfolding.

Also, do we know if BBC World News are still with the News channel?

We were with Peter Dobbie and The Hub for the first half of the hour and then joined Huw Edwards for the second half of the five oclock hour. Now, back to World at the TOTH with Pooneh Ghodoosi, but still leading with the same story.

I feel we will rejoin BBC News Channel imminently. (Especially if Tim is reading - we all know who he is.)

Shocked I'm surprised she hasn't come back from her holiday for such an "event".

The unstoppable draw of BBC Tim... Smile

BBC London news sticking with what they know: one of their headlines was the travel chaos caused by the protests.

BBC News channel seems to be 'burying its head in the sand'. While Sky News have camera shots on the ground up close showing the disturbances, the beeb seem to want to stay with a distant shot from their helicopter and a general attitude of 'not very much is happening'. Sky News all the way on this one.

or are Sky News are focusing on the violent fringe therefore getting a nice sensationalist angle?

No, they see that Television is a visual medium - and that the BBC sometimes need to realise the same.

BBC seem to have got their cameras in the action now, as Ben Brown just got hit by a plastic bottle (or it was very close to him!).

Ben Brown now wearing a crash helmet!
