They probably just got their parking permits (or similar) from Westminster Council at the same time
Coincidence both news channels have just gone live?

Google Map of Millbank Tower and 4 Millbank. For those unfamiliar with the area, the street between the Palace of Westminster and and Vauxhall Bridge is called Millbank.
the News Channel just read out a few emails from people trapped inside the building - I think they probably ought to have pointed out that there are tenants other than the Tories in there.

I'm pretty sure that "Amanda Parks" that Kay Burley interviewed (rather awfully) earlier, was the same person as "Emily Parks" that was interviewed by Tim Willcox. She told Kay that she wasn't a student, but worked in a paid position supporting the campaign against education cuts. She told Tim she was. She told them both that she walked freely into Millbank Tower, had been on the roof, and didn't see anyone throw anything from the roof down. She said she was prepared to be arrested to both interviewers.

BBC had a woman on the phone from an animal protection group that have an office on the 24th floor earlier. She said they'd been evacuated and then let back in, and weren't concerned at the time.

Er - while I said this wasn't the right place for the discussion we were having, regardless of that we were having a decent discussion. Perhaps moving the posts/copying text across to a thread in Metropol would have been better than deleting posts willy nilly. But hey - no need to engage brains...

Also, why is there no live camera footage from the ground - its all 'recorded earlier'? Its outside Millbank, the BBC and Sky both have live broadcast studios from here... surely they can produce some live footage from the ground?
It's quite possible to stick a Gigawave D-Cam on the back of the camera to beam the pictures live, but that requires a ground receiver to be able to pick them up or a SNG vehicle near by. The Sky Copter could have a receiver on them, but with teh camera in the building, it's going to be hard to get the signal out. Indoor radio cameras is something that isn't reliable unless the receiver is inside.
Could just be the building is a 'black hole' for getting pictures out given it's construction and having thousands of people in the area certainly would drain the signal.
So how are they sending the recorded footage.
Taking the tape out of the back of the camera and taking it to a feed point somewhere? They have bases up the road at No. 4 Millbank.
