Yep, the first half hour is completely dedicated to Trump's COVID test, the domestic news channel opt out for the back half hour with local stories like the SNP MP being under pressure to resign, the brexit debacle and other similar stories only relevant to the UK.
I presume the World simulcasts are because of Trump's COVID test?

Katty Kay has just announced a special 'Beyond 100 Days' 7-10pm on BBC News Channel & BBC World News

Corrected that for you.
I think BBC News has been shockingly poor in their choices today. Extended coverage of any story should only be warranted where it actually adds value to the story. Pretty much none of the interviews I saw today did, and to completely distract from the news of local lockdowns and outbreaks to cover the Trump positive test as if he was tweeting from his deathbed was a pretty poor service to viewers.

Two interesting points on the Ten tonight:
Danny Savage was doing a live piece and in shot was his phone on speaker. Just after Clive Myrie asked his question I think I heard "cue" from the phone, Savage hung up, then started speaking.
Towards the end of the Ten, Myrie went back to Jon Sopel at the White House for the breaking news of Trump going to hospital.

And at the end of the 10 the NC crashed into Jon Sopel mid sentence (seemingly speaking to Katty Kay).

Few sounds issues with Jon Sopel reporting with Mono audio in the 23:00 hour on the news channel and world news.

It seems a bit pointless having Samantha in London just now she speaks for a few minutes then throws to katty who almost seems like the main anchor. Why not just have all the coverage come from Washington?
Edit: katty sounded like she was finishing for the night she handed back to Samantha, they just replayed an interview she done earlier and went straight back to katty. Farther proves my point of it being pointless having 2 anchors right now.
