Just another note that Sangat TV (Sky Channel 847) are back live out on the streets of Birmingham again. They are also doing an English translation this evening.

I'm surprised Sophie's the only main anchor we've seen this week on BBC, surely George, Huw and Fiona would be called in to cover such a major story!
George is out of the country, reporting at the moment.
A similar situation to one Mark Austin had I think last year. A 'week of special reports' binned because of more major news taking place closer to home, no doubt.
Special titles on London Tonight - images of the riots inserted in place of the usual location shots in the titles. Looked pretty seamless which makes me wonder whether the titles are designed to have that done more often, they do look pretty basic compared to the old greeny/grey titles? First time I've seen it done anyway.
