BBC News Special on BBC One between 11.00am and 11.45am this morning. Presumably a NC simulcast.
And ITV will indeed have a big hole to fill tomorrow evening as the England v Holland friendly at Wembley has now been officially called off. Wouldn't be surprised if a Tonight special cropped out somewhere in the slot.
Inevitably, the England friendly has been called off.
As someone in a part of London not directly affected but close to areas that were, I found last night’s coverage from the news channels but particularly LBC and 5 Live invaluable. Also there was some great work done by journalists on Twitter, from national newspapers, TV and perhaps most importantly local papers, who were correcting a lot of rumours and describing what was happening.
There’s a great community spirit this morning with all the clean-ups going on, but also a sense of dread about tonight.
I asked last night about riots in other parts of the uk, BBC news has now confirmed there was troubles in Notts, Liverpool, and Bristol. ( I did point this out these reports coming out from twitter but did the tv station ignore them? )
There was a old Jamaican gentlemen being interviewed with the bbc at 09.50, he seems to be lashing out a bit, ( some would say stick a blow to PC)
I agree with BBC LDN Point, it was very embarrassing for that man
It was embarassing for him because of the sh!t he traditionally spouts, and today he was bang on form. What a ludicrous suggestion to compare the struggle for liberty and personal freedoms in nation states oppressed by the most dreadful forms of tyranny, with a bunch of selfish teenage pr!cks in one of the most liberal nations on the planet wanting some new trainers and PS3s, and burning down buildings, businesses, homes for a laugh.
God knows why the BBC keep giving him a soapbox from which to spout his hateful diatribes - it's a dreadful reflection upon the communities he purports to represent.

I have to praise the BBC woman, on the phone last night around 12.30, giving out correct details from Debenhams building
Dermot Murnaghan anchoring live from an Ealing shopping street this morning. I think he's the first anchor from Sky or the Beeb outside this morning?
Of course, whether this adds anything to the coverage is a matter of opinion.
Sky reporting that the Prime Minister will make a statement at 10.30am.
I personally don't think it adds anything. There are many correspondents out doing fantastic jobs and the main presenters should remain in the studio. It's really just a waste of money.
