Indeed, lots of reports on twitter of people with cameras being attacked. Police recommended she didn't even attempt to film on her mobile phone. Paul Lewis said that not being dressed as one of the rioters is enough to get yourself mugged and beaten.

Sounds like the situation on the ground is getting beyond what the Police can control or cope with. If this doesn't warrant rolling coverage all night then I'm not sure what does.

Sky News having its best night of coverage in a long, long time. Lots of live links still on the go aswell, Simon Newton has just been on air for the first time from Camden and Mark Stone has just arrived at the fire (which looks like it has been put out) in Clapham.

Mark Stone is trending on twitter! I think Sky News has covered this hands-down better than its competitors. The BBC hasn't filled the back of it's hours overnight well enough and they need to tell us the facts - not political banter - well done Sky!
