Surely there are going to be more schedule changes than that on Wednesday! (case in point, i wouldn't be surprised if we got what happened last time i.e a news special from the moment Theresa May goes to the Palace to tender her resignation.)
BBC One schedule change on Wednesday 24th July with a special programme at 7.30pm "The New Prime Minister".

Remember the Mueller testimony to Congress is Wednesday to.

I am just quoting what they have put in their schedules. I think it is safe to say BBC One schedules will be cleared for live coverage of May leaving Downing Street for the last time, going to the palace and the new PM coming to the steps of No 10. It goes without saying.

At least there's no EastEnders scheduled, so won't annoy the remaining soapies who watch it.

I think the BBC and other media have received provisional timings which sees the handover later than it was in 2016 - The BBC tweeted Wednesday evening

Tomorrow morning we will discover who will be the UK’s next PM. So it should be an exciting #politicslive shortly after the news comes in at 1215. For one day only the show will switch to BBC1 to follow the BBC News special which announces the result. Don’t miss it!

I'm told that Boris Johnson will be making a statement in the Commons on Thursday at about 10.30 if he wins the Tory leadership election and become Prime Minister

Expect fireworks
A chance BBC2 and BBC1 switch around to cover it on BBC1?

Coverage of the transition of power should take priority over scheduled programming every day of the week...
I suspect BBC One won't clear the schedules entirely since they're starting a new series of Shop Well for Less and Episode 2 of Our Cops in the North.
