Maitlis also presented Newsnight, a mere 90 mins after moderating the debate. Surely it would have been a better editorial decision to have Kirsty or Emma present that bulletin instead, instead of the moderator of the previous programme analysing her own programme with guests?

Storm in a tea cup which 99% of the public couldn't care less about but the Conservative media are using as a distraction technique once again to deflect criticism from themselves.

Yes, it seems one sides bigotry and nastiness gets ignored.

I think it’s a big problem with the media today and one reason our politics is so polarised.

Also the left feels the need to address it’s own problems more than the right does, which adds to the imbalance.

Frankly considering we seem to be in an era of extremist politics it's quite appropriate people who've made extreme and racists views are allowed to ask questions. After all they're allowed to answer them.

It won't be a storm in the teacup if it leads to the BBC being shunned

Which won’t happen. Boris might not but that will be nothing to do with that.

You appear to have already edited all of your recent posts in this thread yourself. I shan't be deleting them as doing so will disrupt this thread further due to other members quoting your posts prior to them being edited.

Interesting that the C4 debate and the forthcoming Sky News one both have the audience made up of 100% Conservative voters.

And that make-up of audience members makes sense. After all it is the Conservative leaders contest.
