It's not the ties we should be looking at, they can be changed within seconds, its the other clothes, particualrly the women. Its a bit too much of a coincidence that every woman on every bulletin on every channel has been wearing black.
Also, I cant help but feel Jon was pulled from News 24 earler to be taken to a reporting spot, for when the embargo is lifted, as recently he has tended to be the one to break bad news from the scene

Believe me, there is absolutely no way that the news channel presenters would be in mourning dress on account of George Best - that really is the most bizarre suggestion I think I've ever seen here!
Jon Sopel is a senior BBC News 24 Presenter, so he would automatcally get the gig for the major stories. It must be something UK- centric as he wouldn;t be going abroad due to his Politics Show commitments.

Maybe were just all over reating, or maybe someone is ill and we dont know, if someone Royal had died, would there be a news black out embargo thing, i remember when Queen Mum died, the BBC were not prepared that well.
