Yes, there was a lot of black about - I noticed even some of the correspondents on Sky were in full-black attire and I'm 90% certain they weren't earlier in the day, but again, possibly just co-incidence.
If the Queen had died, Cabinet would be meeting right now, and the official opposition would be consulted. Given that the Foreign Secretary is in Luxembourg and the leader of HM's Opposition is in Blackpool, I think it's pretty unlikely.

It was a joke, Gavin, as you well know. I don't know or care why 'all' the anchors (and I'm sorry, it wasn't all of them) were wearing black. I had access to ENPS all day and not once did I see any advisory that anything was amiss. And, to be honest, if anything WAS amiss I would have been told. This is a totally ridiculous thread, it really is. It typifies this forum at the moment.
