Jobs are to go at ITV1's Tonight programme. ITN and the local ITV news programmes are to get more involved. Also the programme is to be shown all year round.

Though it is going weekly, so even with the new summer programmes there will be less editions

Wonder what ITV will put in it's place against Eastenders though. Not the easiest of slots to fill

Friday's look set to be a Dancing on Ice preview at 8pm during the Winter at least. Knowing ITV, I doubt they've thought much beyond that.

It looks as though the programme is moving to Friday's at 7:30pm and will be presented by Julie Etchingham.

Looks like another major schedule change then since theres a Coronation Street episode that needs moving

doesn't the 2nd episode on a friday perform worse - although it gives the 9pm slot a good lead in.

That article isn't exactly conclusive. I can't see Tonight airing at any time except when BBC1 have EastEnders on (or Holby City)

Bring back its predecessor, World In Action. Now theres a programme with regular substance.

Was a while since it's been on but from what I remember its main home was on Monday nights at 8.30 but others may correct me.

It wasn't originally but from about 1996 onwards they moved WiA to 8:00pm Mondays.

Don't forget Tonight originally started at 10:00pm on Thursdays, that didn't last too long.
