Here in my region they've been opting out for a regional ident 'Now the lunchtime news with Chris Eakin and Clare Frisby' despite the fact that there was no regional headline insert. Have all regions been doing this?

Secondly on Lunchtime Look North there was a local weather forecast from Jay Wynne followed by the national weather with Jay Wynne. It looked quite odd, did everyone have this?

Jay Wynne gets about. He was in the Wales Today studio last week doing the weather.

If there isn't a regional weather presenter I think they just use the presenter in the weather centre who pre-records the forecast. On this morning's Breakfast we had Helen Willets in Yorkshire who (IIRC) was doing the weather before Breakfast on N24.

No it was Carol Kirkwood, in Edinburgh who did the Breakfast weather.

I meant the regional weather forecast in the regional bulletin - for Yorkshire we had Helen Willets with a forecast for all of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire combining both Yorkshire and Yorks and Lincs regions.

I think what I meant was that Helen Willets was doing the weather on N24 before Breakfast and pre-recorded the regional weather for Yorkshire and Yorks & Lincs which was shown in the regional news on Breakfast

Yes all that is perfectly normal at breakfast time, the thing I was pointing out was that today it happened at lunchtime and teatime and with the same presenter as the nationals.

I noticed Midlands Today just had some slides and North West Tonight had their own presenter so maybe this strange situation with Helen Young appearing twice within a minute was just for Look North viewers
