It wasn't the last time that a much-trumpeted transfer from one news operation to another failed to actually come off for some reason.

I'm almost a hundred per-cent sure that Five News announced that Sangita Myska was to join them as a correspondent when Sky took over production of their bulletins - but in the end she stayed at the Beeb.

Yes - it was widely reported that she was moving to Sky, but didn't appear to actually move...
