Who was that newsreader with Matthew Amroliwala earlier over on News 24 when the story was just starting to develop? Rachel....? Is she new, never seen her before.

Julian and Louise have worked well in bringing us this story.

With wood lane closed for the time being, do we expect people doing overtime, or not turning in?

Bob ballard just done the sports on Steve wright from TVC. i guess they cannot travel between the two.

There are other routes to BBC Television Centre that don't involve Wood Lane - but obviously transport is disrupted and people are delayed. Until very recently the advice from police was not to travel - but this has now changed to "go about your business as normal"

It's open at the Westway end, and people with staff passes are being allowed in. The Central line is fine too, and White City tube appears to be open.

Why is it that when the events two weeks ago was only being shown on BBC1 and ITV1, but these events which aren't as serious because there are no deaths, why are they on C4, five, and Sky1?

On 7 July, five carried Sky News for much of the day before breaking away to provide its own branded service, and I believe - though I may be wrong - that Sky One briefly simulcasted Sky News before returning to normal programming.

Two questions:

Does anybody know why Emily Maitlis isn't presenting BBC London News?

Has Maxine Mawhinney (sp?) left BBC News 24?

News24
Maxine Mawhinney is hardly ever on, she pops up here and there occasionally.
Today it was Rachel Schofield (Mrs Jeremy Vine)
Agreed Julian and Louise doing a great job once again - it's about time they gave Julian a News 24 slot of his own.

Possibly a first for BBC Three News - Paddy O'Connell is presenting from on location at Warren Street, with Sevi in the studio.

Not a first, it happened at least twice two weeks ago.

Sky News are being totally irrisponsible. THe reports they're now claiming as fact (nail bomb, gunshots etc) are pure speculation, and at the moment, appear to be untrue.

Sky News.... never wrong for long....
