Jim Clancy appeared on World News from CNN this weekend. After spending the whole week anchoring four hours of YWT every day.

Nice to see Hala Gorani on YWT too this week, in place of Tumi.

I watch CNN sometimes during the day and night. Just out of interest what is the English reporters name....the one with all the teeth!... Shocked

I know it is a common thought amongst Americans that English people are lacking in the dental department, but in fact most English people have teeth. Even if hardly any of us have dentists any more.

(But it's Richard Quest).

I think Richard Quest is one of CNNI's best offerings as far as presenters are concerned, and he is without doubt their main presenter in London. His teeth are fabulous totally white and well looked after.............no doubt by CNN - hehehe. Anyone else a fan of Mr Quest??

IIRC Hala Gorani has moved to Atlanta permanently. Never thought much of her.

I think Hala Gorani looks alot like the lead actress in National Treasure. Anyone watched it and thinks she looks like her too? I have yet to find out the actress's name

Edit: Shes Diane Kruger. She looks alot like Hala Gorani in the show but not on the website Laughing

One of thing that really puzzles me about CNN is why it puts shows like Living Golf in its Prime Time Schedule.

Does it still have a sailing show too?

My current annoyance is the amount of times in a day they should World Sport.

It has to be the worst program EVER!

I wouldn't have thought that the demographics of the channel would have sport in mind. (excluding golf).

Yes, every time I tune in they always say "World Sport up next". They do show that programme an awful lot. Compare that to BBC World's Sport Today, which is only ten minutes in length and airs just three times per day. BBC World's focus seems to be more on business what with about nine airings of World Business Report per day.

Nice to see Rosemary Church back on screens, presenting CNN World News and also Your World Today.

I noticed that CNN seems to have irregular presentation rosters on YWT, especially during the course of last week. Some days it has two anchors, and other days, the bulletin is presented by only one person. This week we had Tumi, Rosemary and Hala all presenting YWT alone on seperate days. There has been no sign of Jim, Zain or Michael all week (although i think Michael did present on Monday and Tuesday only).

Does anyone know if CNN is permanently changing the format of this programme, to include only one presenter? Normally if someone is off sick, I would expect them to have a replacement from a regular pool of anchors.

Today, YMT was back to having two presenters at each hour - Jim Clancy and Rosemary Church, followed by Michael Holmes and Tumi Makghabo on the next.

Strange how they drop in and out of multiple to single and back to multiple presenters like that.

It's sponsored.
So, if the company concerned wants to bung CNNi a few extra fivers to make sure it turns up in a peak time GMT slot, they are not going to say no are they?
