Must be a while ago... but one of this week's Jay Leno shows has screened this clip of Sky reporter Martin Lowe getting bombed with snowballs by ASBO kids on a council estate.

Hilarious...

Poor reporter my a*se! He's going to get paid now every time that clip gets shown on any bloopers show anywhere in the world.

He probably won't, but Sky will. His 'service' is the property of Sky.

Sky may get paid something, but those who feature in such material do get paid.

I know a certain ITV regional news presenter who gets a fee every time one of her bloopers gets broadcast. We're not talking a fortune, but still, not short of £100 a time.

Bloody Americans - so damn ignorant!

Anyhow - if it does appear on the bloopers, shouldn't the kids get some cash too?

It depends on the contract the reporter has with Sky. However usually they sign all rights of the footage over to the company they work for.

Bloody stupid Americans. Why is it so difficult for them to understand that "England" and "the UK" (and/or "Great Britain" etc) are not exactly the same thing? Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad

Ignorance about geography isn't an exclusively American phenomenon: I've met Britons, as well as other Europeans, who had never heard of Slovenia (their fellow EU member). Of course, that doesn't excuse anything.

I'm actually surprised at Leno - he had Catherine Zeta Jones on once and was at great pains to point out that she was from Wales.
