Simon McCoy made reference to the fact that it wasn't live just before 11.
I think it might be partly to do with lack of manpower - they don't have enough people in to do all the live (and prerecorded) forecasts that they'd normally produce, so have cut it down to what looks like the equivalent of their overnight service.

The 11:58 forecast was just live. Ben Rich still on, nice to see him get some exposure!

No longer with BBC South. She's freelance based at the Weather Centre. I wouldn't be surprised if she's on the 6.
