...and a new person on West Country weather this morning
The BBC Website is announcing that "Heather the Weather" is stepping down from Reporting Scotland. She is moving into the teaching field. Her last bulletin will be 22nd December 2009.

George Cowling, the UK's first television weather forecaster died on Christmas Eve. He presented the first in-vision forecast from Lime Grove on 11th January 1954, using hand-drawn charts prepared by George and carried across London to the Studios.
