Visually...hmm, keeping the purple it appears....although using those tub chairs seems to be a step back in design terms IMO, they seem so dated! Seeing those chairs, I'm now wondering just how much of an update the Westminster set will get....

It looks really awful. I hate the look of the logo (which, if the photo of those mugs that was posted a few weeks ago are anything to go buy, will be extended to The Daily Politics too), those chairs look ridiculous (let's hope they're temporary), and by the look of the set here it looks like they're doing the least possible with TC7. My one criticism of the Politics Show as - compared to the Andrew Marr show - it felt very cold visually, and this indicates they're in no rush to fix that.

To be honest, in that current state it would look better with the usual TC7 desk chairs (like on Newsnight, News at Six and Hardtalk) and without the purple carpet underneath. I personally think the studio will look a lot different when the show actually airs, I certainly hope so..

The table looks like the wall of a World War 2 submarine. Not a fan i must admit Smile

Not sure about the clock in the background showing a random time. I recall the OTR titles being reworked as their OAT changed twice during the life of the programme to reflect the time the programme started.

It reminds me slightly of On The Record. A very simple set which as the programme is reportedly going to consist of one or two interviews and nothing else makes sense.

IMHO, there is too much space between the presenter and the guest. On Marr, they are literally within touching distance.

I'm not keen either (looks about a decade or two out of date) but have you seen the state of TDP's graphics at the moment? Nothing could be worse.

Does anyone know where this week Scottish edition is? Unlike the rest which finshed last week, Isabel said there still one to come.

The BBC Programmes website shows the last edition shown being on 11 December with no upcoming programmes so I think it was either an error or was dropped from the schedule.

It was on at 12 noon today. It lasted 45 minutes. At the end, Isabel just said "we'll be back in the New Year".

THE BBC guide got it wrong, stupid BBC! I had a funny feeling it would be there, I get the feeling BBC Scotland are not going to waste the money on changing the set etc and just The Politics Show Scotland going to Incorporate the Daily politics
