Just incase anyone doesnt know, The Politics Show relaunches this sunday.

I wonder if they will remix the theme like they did a few years ago, anyway I also remember Jon mentioning the chance to have your own home in the new background that will be used. Will be interesting to see how it looks.

I just had a vision of Tumble Tower's B1 coding next to the street sign logo, in the style of SW1. Oh, how it would fit...

Er, yes I did realise that, but The Politics Show is meant to be more than just what's happening in that particular government - that's why it's regional.

In an age when power has been devolved and the BBC are trying to move away from being London-centric it is an odd choice

I'm assuming they're playing on the PS slogan of the last year or two "From Downing Street, to your street." Problem is, there isn't really one single, widespread design for UK street signs, so they just have to go with what people recognise generally.

Better that they go with Westminster-esque signs than some type only seen in six cul-de-sacs in York, or somewhere equally random.

Those of you may remember viewers were asked to send in pictures of their houses at the end of the last series....

and I'm sure you can see where they've been used.

The titles however, are bit random.

Question - on a sunday morning is the studio dressed for both Andrew Marr and the Politics show seperately one in each half? or is a quick turnaround done between transmission?

One in each half, usually, I think. Sometimes at the start of Andrew Marr's show, you see one of the guests on a purple chair.

Yep, one in each half. They dismantle the right side of the set when the Andrew Marr show has finished and usually leave the 'baking tray' empty whilst the Politics Show is on air.
