This programme is just grim, grim, grim

I've actually grown quite fond of it, and think it's nice, cosy evening viewing, Mr "It's a complete a grotesque waste of licence payers' money" Burden.

I find it amusing at times also and have grown used to it. It's a schedule filler at a time when BBC One are up against soaps on ITV1 and E4 (and eventually also Five's Aussie Hour).

Adrian Chiles is a presenter with a very relaxed and easy-going approach. The One Show is certainly non-offensive, surely quite cheap to produce and invites alot of viewer participation. I wouldn't say it was a waste of licence-fee-payers' money.

Useless Trivia time. Apparently the area just outside the windows behind where the presenters sit was the exact location of the Olympic Flame (or whatever the equivilent was then) for the 1908 Olympic Games which were held in the White City Stadium on which site the studio was built.

There is a white line just outside which was a finish line for one of the Olympic events, and just to the right of the windows to the studio there is a medal table and the olympic rings...

but was beaten by BBC1's The One Show, which continued its good run - last night pulling in 3.9 million fans.

Doesn't matter what you think of the show, this is great rating. Even better by the fact it was not on before EastEnders last night.

Don't worry Westy....I get it. It is possible to enjoy sport AND tv presentation.

I don't mind The One Show, it's comfortable viewing and I always like Dominic telling us how to get things for next to nothing Laughing
