The One Show returns to BBC One on Monday 9 July with an impressive line up of talented presenters joining host Adrian Chiles every weekday evening at 7pm.

Popular presenter Myleene Klass and the inimitable Hardeep Singh Kohli will be reporting from around the UK; history buff Dan Snow brings the UK's rich past to life; Dominic Littlewood weighs in with his consumer expertise; and natural history newcomer Ellie Harrison reports on the breadth and depth of wildlife around the nations.

Peter Fincham, Controller, BBC One, said: "It is great to have The One Show back in the schedule – and this time for a whole year.

"We have a fantastic family of versatile presenters joining Adrian Chiles, and we are harnessing production talent from all over the BBC – from the Natural History Unit in Bristol to Current Affairs department through to the Consumer Unit and Entertainment Group. The early evening audience is in for a treat."

"Other presenters who will be appearing regularly on the show are roving reporters Carol Thatcher, Phil Tuffnell, Angellica Bell, Christine Bleakley, Justin Rowlatt and Colin Jackson.

"Dr Michael Mosley (health and science), Steve Backshall and David Lindo (wildlife), Lucy Seigle (the environment) and Neil Oliver (history) complete the line-up of expert reporters."

The One Show's Editor, Doug Carnegie, said: "Adrian is the same bloke on-screen as off it – intelligent and down to earth. He asks the questions viewers want asked, but he essentially likes people. I've even known him be civil to Wolves fans."

Executive Producer, Tessa Finch, added: "The One Show is bringing together a great line-up of new and established faces from all across the UK. Our experts all have a genuine passion for their specialist area and our reporters have signed up to travel the length and breadth of the country to find the UK's most fascinating stories."

So the run is for a whole year, July 2007 - July 2008?

If only it was from Birmingham, or another regional location again.

I couldn't agree more! It was great when it came from Birmingham, there aren't not enough live programmes done from there! Sad Sad

I don't get why they are bringing it back for a full year - especially now as it's been off-air for nearly a year too.

We'll just have to wait and see what it's like as a single header. I wonder if its look will now match BBC1's presentation?

Sounds a bit poor to me , why have the bbc moved it from Brum which was a good location . Dropping Nadia, then hiring Hardeep and Myleene. How many wrong moves is that in a short list ?

The blurb's come out with the same old stuff from last year , 'Adrians the same nice regular guy, he 's so genuine' , yadda yadda. who cares.

The good thing about last year is they didn't try too hard, they listened to the viewers ripped off and used their ideas creatively , they had some fun before they p'd off as the evenings drew in and we wanted something better.

A year is too long for this and I think this is going to be in trouble as it's going to be on way too much for an indifferent audience.

I love Myleene Klass. I'm a sucker for a sob story I was quite taken with her when she cried on that Frank Skinner interview. She's engaging, clearly very bright and multi-talented. I've seen her on a few programmes now and I'm always impressed.

Perhaps I should be her agent.

As much as I like Adrian Chiles, I feel that this isn't his forte. I liked him better on Working Lunch and The Apprentice: You're Fired! As he is presenting it, he should be doing it alone, as I feel that one presenter switching continually will get rather annoying.

She's got her album to plug, plus she admitted on Loose Women that she doesn't want to be sitting at home twiddling her thumbs until junior arrives.

Spark? Well I can't wear a bikini like she can, put it that way Wink
