This morning on Breakfast I cought Fiona Bruce who spoke to Bill Turnball from Heathrow...why was she there? Going on holiday and caught up?

Exactly right. She was just on the Ten as well doing a report for them.

By the way what time did the News 24 coverage on BBC1 stop? Did Julian and Jane do it all or did they replace them with some bigger names after a while?

It was on until around 13:40, then made way for Neighbours.

BBC ONE left the European athletics early at 10:15 and went in to a BBC News Special with a normal ident... it went on until 1pm when the 1 o'clock news took over, normal schedules resumed after then.

The normally excellent Sky News is exceedingly repetitive this evening.

Well is there anything really new to add to the story ?

No, but CNN have kept it fresh by showing different packages. Sky are just repeating the same old ones over and over again.

James, do you know if Adrian Finighan was involved in covering today's news at all? I only managed to tune in at 12.00 BST and they were rolling from London (it's usually WN Asia at that time) with Monita Rajpal and Max Foster. I saw Todd Benjamin hanging around in the newsroom - did he do Business International today instead of Adrian? If so, was Adrian out on the road?

Adrian was on with Charles around lunchtime. I saw him live from Heathrow while Charles was in the studio.

That's odd for such a high profile BBC1 presenter to do all of this. My guess is she just went straight back to Shepherds Bush.

I was out all day today so the only coverage I saw was BBC Breakfast before I headed out to work - and I thought they did an excellent job, having watched half an hour of Breakfast I felt I knew an awful lot about the story. Bill and Susannah anchored the coverage well, with some very well-informed correspondents and guests.

Breakfast gets a lot of criticism. But when it switches to rolling news mode, as it did today, it is often a very good, watchable programme.

Probably, because let's face it she wasn't going to be getting out of Heathrow fast!

Isha Sesay is now in for Adrian Finighan on BI today, live from London (CNN).

Edit: Adrian Finighan has just appeared at Heathrow in a live link. So, the man IS still around.........

I didn't just make those up by the way.

Does anyone remember Vague News on Radio 1? The report on Sky News just now was much like that.

Technically, the coverage has been excellent.

However, journalistically and editorially, it has been another out-and-out shambles.

Newsnight is being simalcast across the pond tonight.
Does anyone witch channel it is on?

It was shown on C-SPAN (05:30 PM EDT), this usually happens with there is a big event in the UK. I think the last time was the terroist attack on London(?).
