News 24 on BBC at 10.15 with Jane and Julian.
ITV News Special (1 hour) on air at 10.30.

ITV really have gone to town with this one. Alastair Stewart in the studio. Nick Owen at Gatwick, Mark Austin at Heathrow and Nina Hossain in the 'Informtation Centre'

Pretty impressive performance from ITV.

Funny how this comes after Reid's speech yesterday. I bet that no-one from the handful arrested will be charged. Funny how they know there's a threat that they've been monitoring for months and yet they have a scatter-gun approach in disrupting every airport. While I appreciate there may be terrorist threats I remain very skeptical - the tactics seem more a ploy to keep the public in fear rather than a genuine attempt to stop an attrocity.

Is it really necessary to create a seperate thread for this? Confused

Yes, as it is a major news event being covered by more than one news channel. Thus not suited to be covered in several 'news channel' threads which are for day-to-day events and general stuff.

Oh I see. I'm sorry, I didn't realise.

I hope they play sombre music too - I love it when they do that. It sends a shivver down my spine and brings a tear to my eye.

It’s interesting to see an itn news screensaver in that Information Centre.

So if the News Channel was still around would these be the graphics it would use?

You can tell it's a big story when UTV draft Julian in to provide daytime continuity!
