Works surprisingly well. RTE have posted their full titles after people asked about the music...
They are using Shine by Years and Years as their theme.

It must be the time of the night [ ... or morning] ... For those of you asking: it's Years and Years - Shine. #GE16https://t.co/F5DVbDZiIp

It seems they have changed the schedule again and have finished up now (still 1h45 after their due finish time). Concluded with a monologue by John Bowman that appropriately enough alluded to the title of his old show Questions and Answers (which was the RTE version of Question Time).

Not really surprising, everyone now knows that the Dail is going to be a stalemate, so no conclusion will be reached tonight, indeed for several days if not longer. Best recharge for the squabbling to come, and get a second election into the planners sooner rather than later.

How long has Virgin been broadcasting this on 996? It would have saved me trying to watch it on the TV3 and RTE websites...
Watching in the UK on Virgin 996. The show is coming from their HD studio, but it isn't in widescreen.

I'm quite surprised that the Irish adverts and promos are going out since we actually can't get any Irish channels here in the UK. Kind of makes the case that Irish channels could come over to the UK...
It started at 7 and will finish at 9. Must admit I'm watching more for the ad breaks and promos rather than the debate!

Sounds like it's just a straight feed of TV3 then. Cheapest way of doing it I guess.
Unfortunately rights issues would prevent most Irish channels being available in the UK (except Northern Ireland). RTE One would be the easiest to clear, but even then you would have a fight with Equity when it came to dramas (particularly Fair City). The others have too many sports and imports.
