I've been watching the election coverage via the RTÉ Election website, which I believe is a stream of RTÉ News Now, and am struck by how many graphics they have moving around the screen - a sidebar on the right hand side and at the bottom, a news ticker and astons. It is quite distracting and is making it quite hard to concentrate on what anyone is saying.

The one hit at 19.38 wasn't very clean. Graphic into break sting, then cut to a black screen with 'RTE.IE commercial break' caption in white, before the BBC Parliament break filler vt
So BBC Parliament appear to be putting out the RTE webfeed.

It's not the same feed as the web feed is in HD and has the 'RTE ONE HD' DOG, the feed to BBC Parliament is in SD.
The countdown on the break at 1938 got into trouble at the end, it got to 0:00 then decided to climb up again to 0:02.
Just noticed a clock had appeared on one of the top level strap on the lower thirds, which I don't recall seeing before.
Reminds me of the original on screen clock from News 24 in style and colour..
With quite a number of seats still to fill RTE election coverage now scheduled to run on until 6:00pm.
I am not sure how anyone can take TV3 seriously as a news/current affairs player if they think running a banner is a sufficient way to cover such an important (dare I say historic) event.
