Apparently we've been told to wait until after the end credits for an extra treat!

Perhaps Tory chairman Brandon Lewis is going to pop up and announce the result of the Tory leadership 5 days early!

I have to say that it does seem quite remarkably bad timing that This Week is bowing out this week and missing out on a dramatic political change of power next week. Surely it wasn't beyond the wit of the BBC to actually extend the show for one extra week to be able to participate in the events of next week? It's clearly going a week too soon. Next week would have been perfect, although it's a huge misjudgement to lose this show at all.

Equally you could argue it’s a fitting place to finish with the end of the May premiership.

Tonight’s more a conversation on the state of politics in general.

Not sure they’ll actually be much to talk about next week.

Seeing Michael Portillo's package is really too much. Talk about going out on a low note!

Watching Andrew Neil tonight I remember the wonderful Malcolm Tucker's advice for him from The Thick of It - "lay off the poppers and fish suppers" and that he once described Andrew as having "sneery hemorrhoid face".

Seeing Rory Bremner on here reminds me that we've never needed political satire on television more than we do now. Where is it? Nowhere. Why?

It could be argued that Politics is nothing but self-parody these days.

I’m glad to see Alan Johnson as the the man on the left, Portillo and Johnson is the best the line up.

A shame but not surprising Diane Abbot didn’t turn up.

Brexitcast is a good listen. I hope the geekiness and conversational nature survive the transfer to TV
