The 1997 one's always been shown as a clean version, without the original graphics, for some reason, which makes it harder to follow
I watched the 2015 election like that on a rebroadcast by DR as I was in Copenhagen. It's difficult to follow without the lower third graphics even for a Brit so I'm not sure why DR took a feed without lower thirds.
It should be relatively simple for other broadcasters to insert relevant language graphics using the PA results and headline feed that becomes active at the close of poll assuming they pay the licencing fee.
Decision 79 is being repeated again on Monday, BTW.
Monday 6th May 2019 - 9.00am until 3.10pm will be the overnight election coverage from 1979, which originally aired on the night from 10.55pm until around 4.00am. Then BBC Parliament will air the "Breakfast Special" from 3.10pm and the rest of the Friday coverage. The Friday coverage started at 7.00am on BBC One back in 1979. A rare occasion when breakfast television was provided by both BBC and ITV.
Picture quality looks softer than I thought previous election repeats looked on BBC Parliament - is it 4:3 in a 16:9 frame, i.e. no aspect ratio switching anymore?
I'm assuming they've edited out for where they opt out to the region's?
They threw to the region's about 20 minutes ago but stayed in the Election studio before returning via a hard cut which I can only assuming was the throwback to the studio...
Last time BBC Parliament aired the 1979 election did they air the news bulletin that went out at 9:30pm that night? It's on air now.
I did wonder if the clock preceding it was a reconstruction, as they cut to the titles at 21:30:13, unusually sloppy for the BBC who tended to prefer going in at :15 :30 or :45 sec if they couldn't hit the minute dead on. But then I thought they wouldn't go to the bother of mocking it up, so it may well have been genuine. I worry about this stuff;-)
