BBC One HD is showing the London edition of Sunday Politics for the next two weeks, so unlike Inside Out which alternates, it'll be London as default on HD, allowing that region to not have to opt-out.
So the existing Sunday Politics brand has been retained! None of the regions have tinkered with the branding too much in comparison to the variety of music and branding we see on the regional news these days (although looking on iPlayer I note one or two have decided they don't like the zoom at the end of the titles and crudely gotten rid of it...). Production values all look to be fairly high, although the regions with ancient cameras or N6-style studios look a little bit worse for wear as they're less flexible, and I note that some regions have even got a camera operator in for some nicer shots!
EDIT: Spoke too soon on the 'regions not fiddling with the branding-front'! Sunday Politics South has decided the titles are too long and so uses the first few shots before mixing the start of the titles music with the end. Looks okay but sounds wrong.
But even more interestingly after that it ended with an endcap for 'Robin Hood Media'. Therefore this sounds to be one region who has outsourced the programme. I don't think any other regions have?

Robin Hood and Juniper have always been producers of some of the local Sunday Politics opts. They used to appear in the credits at the end of the main programme from NBH.
Must be the first time BBC1 HD has shown London output regularly (assuming it’ll be doing London every week).
The titles still have that newspaper with “The Daily Politics” on it
What was shown during the Opt on the Sunday Politics? Was it the holding animation?
It was. Originally it went to that during the headlines sequence too, but it looked so awful going to it for ten seconds that they took started taking the London headlines after a while. So now HD viewers outside London can finally see what was being promoted at the start..
